GHRP-2, GHRP-6 and Hexarelin Research Hub

GHRPs are growth hormone releasing peptides: synthetic hexapeptides, including GHRP-2, GHRP-6 and hexarelin, that activate the ghrelin receptor (GHSR-1a) and stimulate growth-hormone release in research models.

GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) has CAS number 158861-67-7 and a molecular weight of about 817.9 Da. GHRP-6 is CAS 87616-84-0 (about 872 Da) and hexarelin is CAS 140703-51-1 (about 887 Da).

GHRP-2 produces stronger GH release than ipamorelin in head-to-head animal studies but is less selective, with cortisol and prolactin also affected. GHRP-6 produces a stronger hunger response in research animals. Hexarelin is the most potent in vitro, has a longer half-life of about 70 minutes, and also binds CD36 in cardiac tissue.

A typical stock is 1 to 2 mg/mL in sterile water. Concentration equals the milligrams in the vial divided by the millilitres of solvent: a 5 mg vial in 2.5 mL gives 2 mg/mL. Swirl gently rather than shaking, and refrigerate after reconstitution.

Keep lyophilized powder at -20°C for long-term storage. With half-lives of 30 to 70 minutes in circulation, divide reconstituted solutions into single-use aliquots, refrigerate, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
